This Bill of Rights is an effort to describe what services and supports should be available to individuals living with an autism spectrum disorder and their families. The Bill was created by Dr. Mark H. Yeager and serves as a compilation of many years of collaborations with parents, professionals and most importantly individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
It is with the most sincere respect and hopes that this document will better the lives of individuals who live with an autism spectrum disorder. So much has been learned but there continues to be so much work to be done. All facets of this field must pull together to solve the complicated puzzle of autism spectrum disorders. We are all truly fighting for one cause…….the solution to all of the dilemmas that autism spectrum disorders give us and give up so difficultly.
Please post this document everywhere….the school, the daycare, the barbershop, the church, the office, literally everywhere. Advocacy starts with knowledge. Spread the word!
